This is a really interesting place to put luxury condos. A church in Washington D.C. has reached a deal with an real estate developer to build luxury condos on top of the church. It sounds like pretty good deal if you can get it.
What do you guys think about a church being connected to a such pricey real estate? Would you want to live there (if you could afford it obviously)? Would you want to attend this church?

when i first read this article, i thought of it to be crazy. what kind of person would build million dollar condos on top of an old church dedicated to feeding and giving counsel to the homeless?... im not gonna lie, i got pretty wierded out when i read it, but it really doesnt surprise me though. it is a perfect example of the world we live in; two extremes smack dab in one spot. There is no doubt that it will be somewhat controversial. Then, the more i think about it, the better i feel about it. This church is from the civil war era and the original building has been torn down 45 yrs ago. since then they have been in a small elementry school type brick building. The builder is building the church a brand new $17 million dollar sanctuary! And what is really cool is that this church only has 100 members, but the new sanctuary is made to seat 350! I believe it is a blessing for the church which will enable them to do more for God by helping more people, bringing people together, and most importantly bringing them to Christ. I would probably go check it out. What do you think about it??
People have lived in churches before. It's like a pasonage, except the person pays for the apartment. I hope the church picks out good renters.
Sorry typo "Parsonage"
