A Long Way Gone

Man, I just finished reading this book and it completely rocked my world. A Long Way Gone is the first person, autobiographical account of the life of Ishmael who was a child soldier in Sierra Leone during the civil war there. It is a powerful, gut wrenching story. What makes it so intense is that the whole story is completely true. At times, you feel like you are sitting at a table with Ishmael, listening to him tell this awful, extraordinary story.
