Vanity Fair?

I just read an article claiming that college students are more vain than ever. What do you think about the assertions made by these researchers? I actually just bought the book mentioned in the article, so more on this subject is coming. If these things are true, how would being more self-centered effect how we view faith, God and religion? What challenges and opportunities would this represent? I'm anxious to hear what you guys think.
