Stories from Ghana: Katy Childress

God taught me something life changing during our trip to Ghana. While we were there we were able to be a part of medical missions and see over 100 orphans being cared for by an ACM pastor named Joseph. These two events paired together describe my passion in life perfectly. Right now I am a pediatric intensive care nurse at Saint Francis and as much as I love learning about and caring for these children, my desire is to take this nursing care to orphans, helping to ensure that their early years of life are healthy and strengthening for what God has planned for each of their lives. It was truly remarkable to see the selfless love that Joseph and his wife have for all these children and I am inspired to offer what I have for God to use me in a similar ministry.
