I really don't know how to put 10 full days in one short paragraph, but one of the things that really stuck out to me about this trip was the group of people that God chose to experience this together. God worked in each of us individually, but he put us together to be an amazing support structure for one another. Even since we have been back and personal issues have arisen, we have been there to cry, rejoice and pray with one another. This was the largest college missions team to ever go, but unlike some large teams every person's impact was/is felt and needed.
While we were in Ghana, God also allowed us to be blessed by some amazing ministers of the gospel that he has appointed in Ghana. We were honored to get to come along side our brothers and sisters in Christ and serve with them for a few days. Through example, they taught us about making the most of every opportunity to share the gospel.
One of my favorite memories was getting to worship at the Church in Nima. The service was quite different from one you would find at First United Methodist on a typical Sunday, but it was beautiful. It was such a great reminder that style of worship is not what matters to God, but the heart of the worshiper. We witnessed hearts worshiping with everything they had and were warmly welcomed to join with them which we gladly did.
